Situation: ‘Bachelor’ host Chris Harrison and wife separate

Oh no! In Touch Weekly and USA Today are reporting that Chris Harrison and his lovely wife Gwen have separated!! This is HORRIBLE news! Ok, well, maybe it’s ok…..since reports are saying it was an amicable split. So, maybe everyone is better off. But, still…SHOCKED!

From In Touch Weekly: “Bachelor host Chris Harrison and his wife of 19 years, Gwen Jones, have split up, In Touch has learned exclusively. Chris and Gwen, who have two young children together, son Joshua and daughter Taylor, have been broken up for a while, and most of their close friends know.

“They are still really close and remain the best of friends,” an insider tells In Touch. “They’ve been taking turns with their kids so they can both see them as much as possible. It has been really amicable, with no other parties involved, and Chris has been a total professional while filming The Bachelorette.”

Of course our favorite part of the In Touch article is the quote from the “insider” saying “Chris has been a total professional while filming The Bachelorette.” Even in the wake of a break up, Chris Harrison cannot NOT be a professional. C Lo: Ok, I hate to barge in on Penny Farthing’s post here, but….FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!! Is it true? Chris B. Harrison the consummate life-coach/arm-chair love advisor has come to the end of a very successful 19 year marriage with High School sweetheart Gwen? All I could say when Penny Farthing texted me the news was: “Dear God, please tell me he handled it with the utmost professionalism?” Luckily, I quickly received affirmation.

I mean, we do put Chris Harrison on quite a well-earned and well-lit pedestal here at Ok! Here is the Situation — for how he has dealt with any and every situation possible on the show. It’s no secret that we may well be his biggest fans. After all, we did take him to Burning Man in the form of several glossy 8 1/2 X 11 photos in gold cardboard spray-painted frames surrounded by candles and lights… but I digress. We hope to keep Chris on this pedestal for years to come. I am shocked by the news but I’m sure we will all get through this together.
