Looking at our website search traffic statistics today, I noticed that several of the search terms people are looking for have to do with Bachelorette Season 8 contestant Jef Holm’s financial status. Common queries: “Jef Holm rich,” “Jef Holm wealth,” “Is Jef Holm rich,” etc… So, in an effort to give our readers (you) what they want, I figured I’d do some digging in an attempt to get some answers!
It’s not surprising that people are searching for this particular answer. First, because after last week’s episode, it’s become abundantly clear that Jef Holm and Bachelorette Emily Maynard have a serious connection and that Jef is bound to go far on the show (if not the farthest!). Second, because a couple of the contestants in their show exit interviews with the press have said a couple of innocent things — like, “I think Emily is looking for financial stability for her and Ricki” — that have been largely (I’d assume) been blown out of proportion, painting Emily as some sort of gold digger.
And, on top of all that, there also just seems to be a general interest on the Interwebs about all things Jef Holm since we have all been slowly falling in love him, along with Emily, on the show. [Note: Have you seen our unofficial "Jef Holm is a Dreamboat" fan page??]
So……….Is Jef Holm wealthy? Well, it would seem at the very least he’s not hurting for money.
Although Jef Holm is no longer the CEO of People Water (In April, the company named Ken Bretschneider as the new CEO), he is still one of the co-founders of a profitable company. How do we know they’re profitable? Well, their business model is such that they donate a portion of their profits to organizations that aim to bring better drinking water to communities in need. And, since their funds have helped to build one well in Nicaragua and one or two in Guam, that would mean the company is doing fairly well. Kudos to them!
Also, as we are apparently slated to see during Jef Holm’s “hometown” date on The Bachelorette, ABC has described Jef’s family’s ranch in St. George, Utah a “desert paradise.” Ok, first of all, you had me at the word: “ranch.” Granted, he could come from poor farmers that are trying to eek out a living as ranch hands, but that doesn’t seem to be the case here.
Of course, the ultimate answer to the question “Is Jef Holm rich?” is open to quite a bit of interpretation, based on perspective. But from our perspective here at Ok! Here is the Situation, we can comfortably state our answer as: “One F Jef YES.” Jef Holm, while perhaps not a 1%-er, is definitely not seeming like a 99%-er either. So, on the rich-poor scale, we are going to give him a “more rich than poor” label. And, with the hopeful future successes of People Water, which will only be helped by Jef’s time on The Bachelorette, this dude is on track to get ever richer.
BUT – do we think Jef Holm’s current money and future potential for money is why Bachelorette Emily Maynard is falling for him? I mean, it doesn’t hurt. As in, when considering the entire package of the person you want to potentially settle down with, wanting financial stability is not a crime. But, Emily seems to want WAY MORE than just someone who can bring home the bacon. She wants a best friend, a partner and a whole lot of romance, which is what Jef seems to be bringing to the table! [Can you tell we're rooting for Jef Holm to win this season of The Bachelorette?]
