New Bachelor Love Alert? Jef Holm and Katianna Bear

We are really hoping Wetpaint’s exclusive story from earlier this week that Bachelorette dreamboat Jef Holm is dating 23-year-old Katianna Bear is false. It’s not that we don’t want Jef Holm to move on from Bachelorette Emily Maynard and find love; it’s just that we really find Wetpaint and especially their overuse of the term “EXCLUSIVE” to be highly annoying. Can I get a “Hell Yeah!”?

Example Wetpaint headline/story: Did Jef Holm just get a bug bite? Answer: NO! (Thank you, Wetpaint!)

From what we’re reading out there on the Interwebs and on Twitter and on Instagram, it looks like Katianna Bear definitely

Jef Holm and Katianna Bear

@katiannabear on Instagram

met Jef Holm. There’s a photo of her with Mr. Holm on her Instagram to prove it. And, I suppose there could be some veracity to the claims made to Wetpaint by “a close friend of Jef’s” (who conveniently wants to remain nameless) that this same Katianna hung out with Jef and Arie in Arie’s hometown of Scottsdale, AZ over the weekend:

“They did meet in New Orleans,” a friend of Jef’s tells Wetpaint Entertainment. “And all I can tell you at this point is Jef likes her a lot. He even flew her to Arizona to spend a couple of days with him while he was there.” Indeed, several eyewitnesses spotted Katianna, Jef and Jef’s Bachelorette co-star Arie Luyendyk, Jr. partying at a local hotspot in Arie’s hometown of Scottsdale.

But, even if all of this is true. And, even if Jef Holm likes Katianna Bear. He apparently doesn’t like-like Katianna Bear because he’s not willing to call himself “not single” quite yet. At least, not publically, via Twitter, which is the number one way everyone decides to announce whether or not they are “going steady” with someone or not.

From one or our favorite Bachelor fans to follow on Twitter, @StephTweets, along with @JefHolm‘s response:

I also love the Wetpaint dig, with Jef referring to the author of the aforementioned Wetpaint piece, Beth Sobol:

Part of me does feel a bit bad for this Beth Sobol, just because we here at Ok! Here is the Situation likely report on reports that were reported and end up being reportedly false from time to time. But, we are rarely the originators of a rumor. We merely offer a collection of news and add our perspective. And, we tend to stick to the stuff that’s really important, like whether or not Jef Holm got a hair cut recently. After all, we are a site that is first and foremost about high-alert SITUATIONS!

  1. Hi Christina. I am LO. Nothing was addressed to you. I love your reporting because you actually acknowledged that people decide for themselves if they’re single or not since only they know the state of their relationships. I think Jef is tricky too – he did help cover up some rumors with Emily but I get it. That doesn’t make him a liar here. Thanks for realizing that.

    Keep up the good work!

  2. Your replies speak for themselves, I guess. Can’t seem to address when the lie occurred. Sad. I’ve had enough though. Enjoy that burgeoning career. Goodnight,

      • wow, we thought Jef and Emily launched a Twitter war! We have got quite a war happening here in our comments section!

Ok I just want to clarify that Im not “Lo” and I only made the one comment below. Just saw these now.

I love a healthy debate I just wanna make sure things are a bit clearer. I was trying to figure out if any of the comments were addressed at me or PF but I cant tell to be honest.
        Thanks

  3. And btw this basically seems like you’re angry that he called you out despite you kissing his butt for months by promoting his company. Isn’t his company working to get clean water to the third world or something? Why wouldn’t you promote that anyway without expecting him to be grateful? I guess what I’m asking is why do you need him to be grateful to your website? You should be wanting to promote that cause anyway. Sad that you wouldn’t consider doing that without expecting him to sing your praises instead of being upset that you’re exaggerating his relatio ship status.

  4. Please don’t call me sweetie pie. Thats just gross.

And yes you made yourself the story by coming here to comment. I don’t know you from the next annoying inaccurate tabloid reporter except that you’ve made defending yourself your life mission. I’m not even sure what exactly you are defending? I went back to read your actual article and you have proof he hung out with this girl. Congratulations! Did he deny hanging out with her? Doesn’t look like it. Doesn’t look like he’s keeping it a secret that he is hanging out with her. He said he was single and he called you out for pretending to know him. Both stand. Just stop. You make it less likely anyone will ever seek your work out if you ever aspire to be more than a pseudo-celebrity stalker.

    • Thank u so much for being so concerned for my career but offers have been pretty much steady as ever 😉

The reason? Im not afraid to tell the truth no matter how much it pisses off celebs…or their psycho fans…

  5. I don’t even have twitter nor do I send anybody any messages. Unlike you, ms. Sobol, I don’t pretend to know these people. I only know about this based on this article I’m reading. My assessment stands – you are pathetic. Your continued need to defend yourself and make yourself the story is pathetic. And I do find it a little sad on your part that as a journalist, you don’t know what the term single means. A person could be wooing someone and still be single. Youre a young woman in a modern world – you definitely know that. So I’m failing to see how he’s lying, except so that you can feel justified in your bitterness that he called you out for not knowing him at all. You don’t. I don’t. But at least I don’t pretend to.

    • Sweetie pie I haven’t made myself the story. Don’t u see? You all have made me the story. Stop mentioning me and I’ll stop replying. But until then? You’re damn straight I’m going to defend my work. Put something – anything – out into the world and you’ll maybe see what I mean 😉

  6. Its very amusing to me when people who assign character traits and personalities to people based on an edited TV show and whose entire twitter accounts are devoted to sending messages of love and support to people they’ve never met, never will meet and who could care less about them tell me I’m pathetic. Irony at its best.

  7. Also stop making yourself part of the story. No one cares about your little tiff with him because he called you out for knowing very little about him (let’s face it. You’ve probably talked to him (and a few of his friends) a handful of times and suddenly you think you’re an expert on what he considers single or friendship?). But what should we really expect from a wetpaint reporter anyway? Carry on.

  8. Oh Beth. All he said was he was single. That’s not a lie. People often call themselves single while they are starting to get together with someone new. You’re so pathetic.

  9. Oh and as for the Emily headline, duly noted. Thanks for the feedback. I’ll work on it in the future 🙂

  10. For starters, I’m not personally invested in anyone’s saga ever. I report only the information I have strongly sourced. My issue with Jef this week spawned only due to his denial of my story – which he knows is true – and he personal slam of me, someone who has overseen the publication of over 150 stories in People Water. Yes, 150. I don’t care what happens between him and Emily or him and anyone else for that matter. But when you act like an ungrateful brat to a site that has been nothing but supportive of you and your work up until now, I have a big problem with that. And I texted him exactly that yesterday when he contacted me to whine. Thanks for your interest in the situation though.

    Beth

    • Strongly sourced? LOL. You wouldn’t know what the word means if it walked up and introduced itself to you. At least you stated what Wet Paint does correctly, it publishes. It doesn’t write anything, it just regurgitates stories written by other people and posts them a thousand times over again. 150 separate articles on People Water? You may need to go take a math class.

  11. @Beth, wow! Thank you for responding. I am glad to hear about your process in running a story and Im glad to hear you are as passionate about following the Jef and Emily saga as we here at OKHTS are.

I would not disagree w/ you about his tricks. Its always hard to know what is true or not. I think we look for consistency in characters to determine what is likely true. We just cant blindly believe a “source” as much as we want to, but thats not saying you shouldnt go ahead w/ a source for a story just that we try and be Switzerland and stick to named sources if possible.

As for WetPaint I mean you guys clearly are getting exclusives and stories that we never would. But I gotta just call you guys out on one thing….the bait and switch. The recent headline “Who is Emily Maynard taking to Ashley Hebert’s wedding?” click….”no one she is going alone”. Come on WP! We know you gotta keep your metrics up but can us Bachelor fans get a real nugget when we click on WP?

Ok Thanks again for taking the time to respond!

  12. Oh, and the part you enjoyed about Jef calling me out as “this Beth character?” Another lie. We’ve met in person, spoken on the phone several times and texted frequently. He texted me today as a matter of fact. Can ANY of you say you’ve had contact with ANY real contact of these people other than a tweet every blue moon or a random encounter?

I’m not saying he’s a bad guy, but he’s not always the most honest. And given his track record, the vitriol with which you defend him and eviscerate me is truly baffling. And pretty laughable 🙂

  13. Your take on this is very humorous. But I assure you, there’s no need to “feel bad” for me. The story is 100 percent accurate.

Jef may have denied it on Twitter, but then again, Jef has a history of lying to his fans on Twitter. Case in point: the very true story about the vacation fight, Emily sexting another man, their breakup rumors and his romantic overtones to a an old girlfriend while he was STILL with Emily. His own brother verified the fight and the sexts, it’s clear now his tweets and interviews about things being fine with Emily when they weren’t were false and the ex-girlfriend had emails and texts to prove her case.

So his latest denial doesn’t bother me remotely. I don’t run a story until I have it extremely strongly sourced. And have a look at all MY other Bachelor stories. I dare you to fine one that didn’t end up being true.

But if there’s anyone who should be worried, it’s Jef. His tricks are becoming more and more transparent and people are wising up. But thank you for your concern 🙂

    Beth Sobol
