To be honest I am not terribly impressed with the contestant list thus far for Jojo Fletcher’s 2016 season of The Bachelorette. But there are a few guys who look like they have half a chance with the 24-year-old real estate developer from Dallas, Texas. And the biggest standout thus far is 27-year-old Jordan Rodgers.
Jordan is an American football quarterback who last played for a Canadian team. He played for the BC Lions in the Canadian Football League.
But more importantly his big brother is Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Aaron is currently dating actress Olivia Munn. So Jordan will obviously be a big draw for viewers this season.
In fact it reminds me a little of Josh Murray from Andi Dorfman’s season who was a pro baseball player and his brother was a pro football player–also named Aaron! Let’s hope history does not repeat itself.
Remember Andi chose Josh, but allegedly slept with brother Aaron?! But I digress.
Speaking of similarities to Josh Murray, Jordan also has an ex girlfriend named Brittany. He dated Brittany Farrar from 2012-2014.
Anyhow Jordan was born Jordan Edward Rodgers on August 30th, 1988 in Chico, California,to mother Darla Leigh (maiden name Pittman) and father Edward Wesley Rodgers.
His father is a chiropractor and former football player born and raised in Texas. He was an offensive lineman for the Chico State Wildcats, from 1973 to 1976.
Anyhow, Jordan was a big football star in high school and college. Right out of high school he attended Butte College (Junior college) where he was the backup quarterback.

After completing two years at BCC, he received a scholarship to Vanderbilt University.
In 2013 he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars as an undrafted free agent, but announced his retirement on May 26, 2015.
But Jordan was more than just a jock, he also had a stellar academic record—named to the 2010, 2011 and 2012 SEC Academic Honor Roll and in December 2012 Rodgers completed a degree in Human and Organizational Development.
Additionally, Jordan is very Christian like Jojo.
So Jordan I suspect will be the front-runner and producer Mike Fleiss recently tweeted,
“JoJo told me that she sees marriage material in 6 or 7 of the guys… I think she is gonna find love!!! #Bachelorette.”
So keep an eye on Jordan!
