Things finally start to heat up on Episode 2 of season 3 of Bachelor in Paradise. Cocktails are flowing and contestants are starting to test each other for chemistry.
Two people who “tested” their chemistry were 30-year-old Carly Waddell and 33-year-old Evan Bass. I never would have put these two together!
The charming gorgeous singer/songstress and the nerdy erectile dysfunction single dad. I actually kind of thought Evan and Jubilee might have some chemistry.
And I had Carly matched up with a big manly man.
Anyhow, maybe they were bonding over their hatred or fear of Chad? You know that old trick. if two people are in a life-threatening situation together they naturally bond. So maybe in a moment of weakness they decided to see if there were any sparks?
“Evan definitely has my attention,” Waddell says. “I’m kind of wondering what kissing him would be like.”
“Would he be aggressive? Would it be soft? Would it be easy? Would it be weird? Would it be wonderful?” Waddell questions.
“I want someone who kisses me and I can tell that this is a passionate kiss.”
Unfortunately we would all find out the answer to these questions and more in the world’s most awkward onscreen kiss.
Evan takes her hand and walks her to her room for the night. As they hug the two start kissing.
“Kissing Carly for the first time was incredible. I kissed Carly and I was just like, ‘I just want to kiss you some more and more,’ ” Bass confesses. “It was butterflies and explosions. It was a perfect kiss.”
But unfortunately Carly was not feeling the same chemistry.
“That kiss was so terrible,” Waddell reveals.
So is it safe to say that the possibility of these two getting together is out the window? Oh no, no, no. Never say never. Evan gives Carly his rose and she takes it!
Bachelor in Paradise airs Mondays and Tuesdays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
