Southern Charm star, former real estate developer and South Carolina Treasurer Thomas Ravenel, is known for being a bit of a hot mess. But luckily the 52-year-old is incredibly charming because he has a bit of an arrest record.
In 2006, Ravenel was elected State Treasurer for the state of South Carolina but was indicted on federal drug charges in 2007 for buying cocaine in late 2005 and was sentenced in 2008 to 10 months in prison after his felony conviction.
(I am betting Ravenel did a lot more than than during that time considering he was a member of The State of South Carolina Retirement System which invests approximately $30 billion in funds for retired state employees. Aka, How did Ravenel makes so much money and become a multi-millionaire so fast? I suspect T-Rav discovered something called the Delaware LLc. In addtion to the cocaine situation, in July of 2014 T-Rav was arrested for drunken driving at around 2:30 a.m in the Hamptons in New York after driving on the shoulder and crossing a double yellow line.
