Ian Thomson trashes Kaitlyn and walks off

Well I think Ian Thomson destroyed any chances tonight of being the next Bachelor….or being The Bachelor ever!

Until tonight, the 28-year-old Princeton grad appeared to be quite a catch. In fact my mom keeps commenting on what a nice young man he is and what a great husband he would be. But tonight a tiny shoe dropped when Ian unleashed on Kaitlyn and came out looking like an ego-centric ass.

During the cocktail party Ian says the following:

“I don’t know if she even knows I’m here. I think a lot of women like me. I don’t think that’s ever been an issue for me, and then I come here, and I just feel like I’m not being liked by the girl that I’m here to impress. I don’t understand why Kaitlyn wouldn’t want a Princeton graduate, former model that defied death and has been around the world a couple of times.”

Yikes! I was willing to overlook his Princeton name dropping in the beginning and give him the benefit of the doubt–thinking he couldn’t possibly be ‘that guy’—but he was ‘that guy’.

Ian continues:

“I don’t think that Kaitlyn understands the full extent of who I am, and who I am is a catch. Good-looking guy, smart … I think that’s why I would make a great Bachelor. I think if I was on the other side of the coin, if I had 25 options, that would be something that could definitely work out for me.”

Oh!!! Did he really just drop the B-word?! And suggest he could be ‘The Bachelor’? See if you brag about how you “could be The Bachelor” then you can not be “The Bachelor” because ideally “The Bachelor” is a great guy who has put his ego in check.

He really should have stopped there because the trainwreck just took a deadly turn when he trashes Kaitlyn:

“I don’t find Kaitlyn interesting. Like, I don’t think that’s something wrong with me – I think that’s something wrong with her. I’m kind of just tired of rejection around every corner of this situation and I want to go home.”

You can’t bash The Bachelorette if you want to be The Bachelor…but wait it gets better….

“I don’t think Kaitlyn can handle the truth. She’s not half as hot as my ex-girlfriend.”

WHAAAT?!!!! No, no, no, you can not say that. Looks are off limits. That is not what a gentleman does!

He continues to reiterate his availability to be The Bachelor in case Producers missed the hints:

“I could be the Bachelor. … I think I’m a very eligible bachelor in this country and in this world.”

And then:

“Kaitlyn just seems like she wants to make out with a bunch of people and have a good time. I’m not here just to have a good time. I have a good time in my own life, and I meet chicks, and I have a lot of sex in my own life.”

• “Kaitlyn just seems like she wants to make out with a bunch of people and have a good time. I’m not here just to have a good time. I have a good time in my own life, and I meet chicks, and I have a lot of sex in my own life.” (Remember when he said he wanted to the next Bachelor? Do you think he plans on not kissing any of the girls in this imaginary scenario he’s cooked up for himself?)

Ian then tells Kaitlyn his concerns:

“I heard what you said about being honest with you, and you told me to share my feelings with you, and I look around the house, and I look at you, and I feel like everybody is kind of on vacation from life, and for me this isn’t a vacation. I came here to find a wife.”

“It’s really difficult for me hanging around a group of guys that are making fart jokes, making poop jokes, making sex jokes … that’s what works for you but that’s what works for you – that’s not what works for me. … That deep person is who I am.”

Needless-to-say Kaitlyn is more than happy to let Ian go.
