So Stassi Schroeder has returned on Vanderpump Rules tail between her legs just before the finale of season 4, presumably to get a paycheck, but officially to publicly apologize to the cast that she publicly belittled and bashed so mercilessly in her Bravo ITMs including her best friend Katie Maloney.
First she visits Kristen Doute. Kristen was easy since Kristen is sort of in the same boat trying to make nice with the cast-mates that she has alienated. In fact Kristen invites Stassi to live with her since Stassi is supposedly in the midst of a break up with her boyfriend Patrick Meagher.
Stassi conceded that she is at “rock bottom”. She has a looming sex tape, a break up, nowhere to live thanks to how ex boyfriend Jax Taylor destroyed her credit, (God knows what else she has “thanks to Jax”), no real income, etc.
So she called Lisa Vanderpump “sobbing” essentially asking for her job back. And no I do not mean her job waitressing at SUR. I mean her job as a cast member of a hugely successful show. And really Stassi dug herself in to this giant hole. She complained the entire time about how lame it was working at SUR and lame her co-workers were since they still worked there.
Then she committed the ultimate sin…calling Lisa Vanderpump “an old woman”. Anyhow, she has alienated everyone! even her best friend Katie Maloney. Stassi mistakenly thought the show could not go on with out her, but she was wrong. The crew very impressively managed to fill in where Stassi left off creating an array of scandalous situations.
So last Monday she had to come face to face with boss Lisa Vanderpump and it was epic. Essentially Lisa tells Stassi the only way she can come back is if she gets the Ok from the rest of the cast meaning she has to confront Katie and her now fiancee whom she accused of having a “vagina”–Tom Schwartz.
So tonight we will watch the very uncomfortable situation unfold. This is what Katie said in her blog about Stassi coming back to apologize.
“I had a very hard time comprehending why someone who had so many choice words for not only me (her former best friend), but Kristen and even Tom, was present. I was left abandoned, confused, and quite frankly heartbroken. I tried my damnedest to be considerate and respectful of her, but also take care of my own life and relationship after a rough couple of months. And to be so carelessly tossed aside was gut wrenching. So, when she just so freely wandered back around, I immediately put my walls up.”
In regards to what she thought watching Stassi’s apology to Lisa,
“This was an experience to witness. Honestly, I struggled a bit watching this. On one hand I am just beginning to witness Stassi really claiming and taking responsibility for her actions and it’s too hard for me to sum up how I feel about this. I have never seen Stassi really swallow pride and address these sorts of things with anyone. I really see her going there and overextend herself. Lisa is a tough woman. Stassi may have called her an “old woman” and Lisa called it perfectly.”
She also claims that she sees both sides which suggests to me that she has made up with her ex best friend.
“It’s so difficult seeing both sides and understanding both sides in such massive ways. I have only wished for them both to arrive at a place where mutual understanding can be felt and understood.”
Her fiancee Schwartz has commented countless times how much more he likes Katie without Stassi so this may be a sitch between her and Tom if they have in fact made up.
