Southern Charm star Craig Conover, 27 was one HOT MESS when we last saw him on season 2 of the hit Bravo show. He was drinking and partying himself into oblivion. In fact the destructive behavior got so bad that he was fired from his legal intern job by his boss Akim Anastopoulo because he stopped showing up!
Needless to say his friends and family were really worried about Craig. And apparently after season 2 wrapped Craig moved back to Dagsboro, Delaware in with his parents Martha and Craig Sr….which is pretty serious and he may or may not have gone to rehab.
But cut to season 3 and it’s a brand new Craig. He has moved back to Charleston and is sober and healthy and looks very happy and in love with new girlfriend Naomie Olindo. In fact he has moved in with Naomie into a kick-ass house owned by her very wealthy parents on King Street.
He has not taken the BAR yet (even though he keeps teasing us that he is a_b_o_u_t to take it), but he is working for Extreme Akim again and he just invested in the Gentry Hospitality Group.
So Craig got his sh!t together in a hurry. And he is really head over heels in love with Naomie…so in love he is pre-engagement ring shopping with pal Cameran Eubanks.
And despite how things looks and despite a history of impulse control problems, he claims that he is not rushing in to things with Naomie. “We want to do everything right,” Craig said in a Bravotv.com interview.
“And yes, it’s been a fast-moving relationship, but we’re smart enough to recognize that. Even though we don’t foresee anything bad happening, we’ve only been together for a year, so why rush anything?”
Looks like the pre-engagement ring is sort of a deposit on their relationship. In other words Craig wants to lock this down.
“I did want to give her something that symbolizes how I feel about her and that she can wear around with her. I know that she wanted the same thing,” he said. “It’s kind of like a fun teaser.”
“For Naomie and I, we’re so close and connected that now we get to turn the proposal into two fun happenings instead of just one.”
