Thirty-six-year-old ex Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis made headlines Monday night when he contacted Bachelorette producers to have them announce on Rachel Lindsay’s Bachelorette finale, that he’s now married.
I did think it was telling that Harrison didn’t even mention who Juan Pablo was marrying—perhaps a little dig, knowing how much JP likes to name drop–especially since Juan Pablo’s new wife is stunning 29-year-old Venezuelan TV host and beauty pageant winner, Osmariel Villalobos.
The pair wed this weekend in Miami, Florida in front of a private gathering of friends and family.
The message was funny for many reasons.
1: Did Juan Pablo think Bachelor Nation was hanging on the edge of their seats waiting for Juan Pablo updates?
2: Is it really a coincidence that Juan Pablo’s wedding coincided with the big Bachelorette finale? It’s no secret the JP is a fame whore and is a tad bit desperate to stretch his 15 minutes of fame, but planning your wedding to coincide with a reality show finale is pretty desperate.
3: Not surprisingly his wife is not from the US. In fact, she is not even from the Northern Hemisphere. Poor Juan Pablo had to hope the Southern Hemisphere had been spared of the pervasive frontpage-news that he is the biggest douche-bag to ever lead the show—from his Bachelor season that boasted the most self-eliminations in Bachelor history, to his epic failure Fantasy Suite date with Andi Dorfman where he told her she ‘barely made it’ and then forced her to watch soccer videos all night, to his disastrous proposal in which he could not even tell his fiancee Nikki Ferrell, 29, that he loved her.
And who could forget his infamous catch-phrase –“eees Okay”, the answer to any and all questions or concerns presented by any contestant.
Needless to say, JP was a huge flop, but apparently he doesn’t actually know that and he thinks that America is still anxiously awaiting news about his love life. Of course JP is an Enneagram 3, the status seeker, and the status seeker doesn’t differentiate fame from infamy. They will take attention any way they can get it.
