2018 Bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. reportedly had a girlfriend 2 days prior to Bachelor announcement

Just one day after Bachelor producers made the big announcement that Bachelor alumni Arie Luyendyk Jr. would lead the 2018 season of the show, some very serious scandal is surfacing surrounding the 35-year-old Scottsdale, Arizona race car driver.

So just to back up a minute, Arie starred on the 2012 season of The Bachelorette with Emily Maynard. He was the runner-up behind winner Jef Holm.

ABC was struggling to find a lead from any of the past few seasons of the show so they went in to the vault and plucked Arie from Bachelor Nation obscurity. The choice was a gamble for sure, but adding to the dilemma producers now find themselves in are allegations swirling around Arie that he is quite a ladies man and wasn’t even single when producers decided to cast him!arie-9

According to ET Luyendyk Jr. had been in a relationship with a receptionist there for over a year, but broke up with her just two nights before ABC made the big announcement.

The girl in question is 26-year-old Sydney Stempfley.

Adding to that, the source claims Arie attended work events with the woman, but “everyone hated him.”

Then there were a series of claims on Reddit that Arie likes much younger woman, like woman in their late teens, and that he finds young women with wingman and best friend Jef Holm.

Jef is apparently horrified by the claims and sent a tweet to Reality Steve telling him,

“I stopped being friends with him years ago because he’s disgusting,” Holm wrote, in reply to a Twitter thread by @RealitySteve.

“Oh the stories I could tell…,” another tweet read.

Damn!!! I hope he does “tell”.
