Bachelor weddings are always fun to watch because the guests are often other Bachelor contestants and this wedding is no exception. In fact ‘Bachelorette’ Ashley Hebert even invited runner-up Ben Flajnik to her wedding to J.P. Rosenbaum–only on the Bachelor. Afterall these two did share a 9-week non-monogamous relationship on National TV. Luckily there are no hard feelings between JP and Ben.
“I actually keep in touch with Ben a lot,” Rosenbaum told reporters this week. “We keep it to sports and wine.” (classic bromance topics).
Flajnik actually turned down the invitation to the Dec. 16 th wedding nuptials.
“Obviously we wanted to invite more than we actually did, but we ended up inviting people that we had real friendships with,” she told FOX411. “We wanted to keep the ceremony really personal,” she added. “It was more about family and love.”
The two decided to share their ceremony with the world (thank God) because their relationship was so public (I have a feeling it also has to do with ABC footing the bill for this kick-ass ceremony).
“We knew what we were getting into,” Rosenbaum said. “As much as they do film, it wasn’t overly intrusive.”
The two contend that the planning was stress free.
“I would love to tell you that she was a Bridezilla and that it was crazy and stressful,” Rosenbaum said. “But to tell you the truth—knock on wood—everything went more or less very smoothly. There was no fighting.”
And lucky for us Chris Harrison fans we get to watch Chris officiate the ceremony.
“He was our first choice, he was there from the very beginning,” Rosenbaum said. “He’s seen our good sides and bad sides. We have a great relationship—it just all made sense.”
Some familiar faces will be in the audience. We will get to see former Bachelorette vixen Emily Maynard, upcoming Bachelor Sean Lowe, Jason and Molly Mesnick and Trista and Ryan Sutter.
Ashley also invited some real life friends, including her childhood and dental school friends, and her future sister-in-law, Rosenbaum’s brother’s fiancée, were bridesmaids, and Ashley’s sister, Chrystie, was her Maid of Honor.
JP commented on his sister-in-law and their famous on-screen awkwardness…..
“Chrystie is like a sister to me,” Rosenbaum said.
The two live in Princeton, NJ. Hebert is finishing her pediatric dentistry school at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia and Rosenbaum continues to work as a construction manager in New York City.
“The Bachelorette: Ashley and J.P.’s Wedding” airs tonight Dec. 16 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
Ashley Hebert married her fiance9 J.P. Rosenbaum in a much anteaipctid “The Bachelorette” wedding. With host Chris Harrison on site as the person officiating the entire thing, it seems Ashley and J.P. shared an amazing wedding day. Many fans wonder how Ashley chose her dress.
