Bachelor Tim Lopez’ ex-wife Whitney Hardin – Ok! Here's the Situation

Ready for Love fans are rooting for Plain White T’s band member Tim Lopez to find love this season on national Television, but they are also wondering who the amazing lady was who broke his heart.

After an 11-year romance to his childhood sweetheart hitney Hardin and three years of marriage the two called it quits. As often happens in rock star relationships the distance while on tour with the Plain White T’s took a heavy toll on the relationship, and the couple grew apart. Tim was crushed by the breakup.

This was no run of the mill rock star marriage. As reported by Inside Weddings Magazine in their ‘Real Weddings’ story on ‘Whitney Hardin & Tim Lopez’ in August of 2004, Tim Lopez met Whitney Hardin when he was 16 years old. In fact it was thirteen-year old Whitney Hardin who rallied the courage to introduce herself to sixteen-year old Tim Lopez at a concert in 1997. And seven years later, in a room he covered with flowers at the Bacara Resort and Spa, Tim proposed to Whitney and the two were married in 2004 in Santa Barbara, California.

But the success of the band ultimately destroyed his 11-year relationship.

Tim claims in his intro:

“I wrote a song that sold 1.3 million copies, when all I really wanted was to impress the one girl I let go.”

But, now that his heart has mended Tim is ready to meet someone. And why would he agree to meet someone on national Television?

As his Bio states:

“The success of his band has presented its own challenges. As a single, attractive man in a well-known band, Lopez is unsure about women he meets while working on the road. With the recent Grammy Award-nominated success of the Plain White T’s, he feels he has a large part of his life under control and believes that a television show could provide the perfect environment for finding his true love.”

“With a strong sense of loyalty that has helped keep his band together through the last 10 years, Lopez feels equipped with the tools for a long-term relationship and marriage.”

Lopez claimed he loved being married (obviously this guy is not your normal rock star). So he is truly “ready for love” again and looks forward to a family.
