Evan Bass’ ex wife claims Evan is a ‘deadbeat dad’

Thirty-three-year-old Evan Bass has had a tough time finding love on TV and in real life. The single father was once married believe it or not — which is kind of funny since the Nashville Erectile Dysfunction Expert continues to reiterate that he has never felt for anyone the way he feels for Bachelor in Paradise contestant Cary Waddell (after all of a few days of knowing her).

This raised serious red flags for me. I thought…wait, what?…. “more than anyone”?, more than the mother of your 3 children? You did after all have not just 1 but 3 children with her and you did actually marry her so……

Anyhow his baby mama, 33-year-old Marie Bass maiden name Marie Ward is not too keen on her ex and claims that Evan is only interested in money and fame.

“As most of you have now noticed yes my ex husband is on the Bachelorette. I’ve been overwhelmed with messages asking how I feel about this. I’ll make this statement about it- Evan does his own thing, always has.

I’ve raised my boys alone since they were born because he’s been on a decade pursuit of wealth. He’s not a “single dad”, he’s a dead beat dad. He’s interested in one thing- money and fame.

So kudos to him- he’s getting what he wants. We are all very excited for him. Don’t believe anything you see about him being a father. He’s not. He’s a sperm donor.

Hopefully he’ll keep a sense of self respect during the show because as we all know the Bachelorette is a respectable TV show.

What’s important is that I’m happy and my boys are happy, apart from that I don’t give a damn.”

Wow! That is pretty bold and harsh, ….. but may be true.

It’s interesting since Evan has been all about warning other women about some of the guys like Chad Johnson and Josh Murray.

He doesn’t seem as “fame-hungry” as some other guys but just shows you people are often not at all what they appear.carly-evan

Anyhow Evan does have a few skeletons in his closet that could suggest he is trouble and more shallow than he appeared.

He did also file for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in September 2011.

Evan and his then-wife Marie owed $223,197.74 to creditors despite a combined average monthly income of $6,522.

The debts included $46,606.91 in credit card payments, $53,703 in loans, $55,000 for a business lawsuit and more.

The Chapter 7 case was discharged on November 15, 2012.

It looked like Carly Waddell had officially dodged the Evan bullet, but Evan got creative last night and had a near death experience which drew Carly back in. And spoilers suggest Carly and Evan do get engaged on the finale of Bachelor in Paradise.

Yikes! Carly, I think your intuition was right the first time!

  1. Bitter ex-wife much? She should apologize publicly. They DID get married AND they just had a beautiful baby girl. It took 3 weeks to film Bachelor in Paradise. I have friends whose husband’s and ex husbands go on business trips longer than that, heck people in the military go away longer than that and guess what? Their spouses and ex-spouses get it done with the kids without complaining, I had to do it all by myself. I’m glad Evan found happiness with Carley and got away from this evil shrew!

  2. He’s a ‘dead beat dad’, but they got pregnant at 17/18 and were still married racking up debt together in 2011. Kids would have been 10,6,and 3. I know a whole lot of ‘single moms’ who’ve had less.
