Bachelorette alumni Marcus Grodd just got married…legally this time… to his fiancée of 6 months, Ally Lutar!
Marcus, 29, has had a rough couple of years in the love department. He was devastated when bachelorette Andi Dorfman broke up with him in 2014 and then again when girlfriend and sort of wife Lacy Faddoul dumped in in June of 2016 after a year of being unlawfully wed.
But this time it looks like it’s gonna stick. Marcus went outside of Bachelor Nation and met a lovely young lady through mutual friends at a barbecue in Newport Beach, California, in July 2016 named Ally.
And the gorgeous couple just tied the knot on Saturday evening in Vancouver, Canada.
Lutar, 35, owns her own Vancouver-based marketing and staffing agency, Propelle+Konnect.
“The minute I met her I knew this was how you feel when you meet your wife for the first time,” he told PEOPLE. “Ally is gorgeous and strong — I was completely drawn to her confidence.”
“She’s also an incredibly successful business owner, and her business has allowed her the ability to travel — luckily we met because of one of those work trips,” Grodd adds. “Our first date was the following day at Javier’s in Newport Beach.”
Grodd told PEOPLE, “it felt as if we had always been together.”
He continued, “Immediately we both knew we had found the missing piece in our lives. Ally moved in the very next day! I can truly say I knew I loved her the day I met her. We have moved so quickly because it’s always felt so right and meant to be.”
The couple got engaged in May of last year, sans Neil Lane. Grodd popped the question at the Lynn Valley Canyon in Vancouver with a halo-set diamond ring with a 3-carat round center stone.
The engagement may not have been produced by ABC, but Grodd did a pretty darn good job of making it just as special as any Bachelor engagement.
Grodd took Ally on a mountainside hike and got down on one knee on a suspension bridge over a waterfall.
Marcus gave Lutar’s family a heads up so they could be there were waiting for them with bottles of champagne at the bottom of the river.
Congrats Marcus and Ally!
