Well Bachelor Nation, I never thought I would see this day come…the day 49-year-old host Chris Harrison is being replaced. But it is here. The torch is being passed on to two gorgeous, charming ladies from the franchise: Bachelorettes Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe.
A statement from ABC says:
“We support Chris in the work that he is committed to doing. In his absence, former Bachelorettes Tayshia Adams and Kaitlyn Bristowe will support the new Bachelorette through next season.”
Chris has been hosting:
The Bachelor since 2002,
The Bachelorette since 2003,
Bachelor Pad from 2010 to 2012,
Bachelor in Paradise since 2014, the first season of Bachelor in Paradise: After Paradise in 2015,
Bachelor Live in 2016, and
The Bachelor Winter Games in 2018.
30-year-old Taysia was born and raised in Newport Beach, California, and works full time as a social media influencer.
Bristowe was born and raised in Leduc, Alberta, Canada before she traded her Canadian citizenship for American citizenship after getting engaged to Bachelorette contestant Shawn Booth. She worked for years as a dance instructor until reality fame gave her lucrative gigs as a social media influencer.
Kaitlyn is most famous for her hot-mic situation in Ireland on season 11 of the Bachelorette. No doubt she can help contestants navigate all of those uncomfortable hot-mic situations on the show.
Tayshia is my personal favorite. She definitely has the skills to help contestants navigate these difficult situations in the most professional and compassionate way. And most importantly she has the hands down.
