Jax Taylor breaks up with girlfriend Brittany Cartwright on advice of reiki instructor Kelsey Patel
38-year-old Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor made a very poor decision Monday night to dump his wonderful girlfriend Brittany Cartwright on the harebrained advice of reiki instructor Kelsey Patel.
I knew Kelsey bothered me and now she has proven to be a certified quack-job.
For some reason the cast of Vanderpump Rules has gotten all #metoo female empowerment this season and its beyond annoying.
So it starts with castmate Stassi Schroeder who gets preachy with Brittany dishing trite New Age truisms about not knowing “her worth”.
Brittany responded, “You’re not with me every single day. You’re not in my relationship every single day.”
Look folks, no one on this show is in any position to life coach anyone. Yes, Brittany is a hot mess and is in a codependent relationship with Mr. Jax and if she can’t see that, no amount of unsolicited platitudes are going to change that.
Cut to Jax and his spiritual advisor Kelsey,
“The reason you’re being mean to [Brittany] is because you don’t want to have to be the one to walk away,” ….
“You think I want her to leave me first?” Jax replies.
Kelsey then implores Jax to tell Brittany “his truth” so she can “find the person that’s going to treat her like a princess.”
So tired of people making “truth” subjective — people who say “your truth”, “his truth” or “her truth”. How about T-H-E TRUTH.
Just tell her THE truth Jason Cauchi. If Jax gets his very own “truth” does anyone see why that may be a problem????
Yes, Kelsey is correct that Brittany deserves someone who will treat her with respect, but she is a moron to suggest that Jax or anyone gets to have their own truth.
As a result of the totally unprofessional advice, and in usual Jax fashion, he dumps Brittany while the two were sitting in bed together. Jax tells her, “I’m just, like, really unhappy. I’ve been unhappy for such a long time … This has 150 million percent nothing to do with you.”
He then added, “I am not good in relationships. You deserve a lot better than me. I just don’t think we should be together anymore.” Cut to Jax crying, saying, “I’m not happy with myself. I don’t like who I am and it’s not because of you.”
AKA “I am hot for my reiki instructor and I just want to sleep with her and a few more girls and then we can get back together”.
