New info in Amanda Eller case changes timeline

New information posted on the FindAmanda Facebook page changes the timeline of events.

“IMPORTANT AMANDA UPDATE. The pet sitter of the parents of Amanda received a package at their home today. It was a Mother’s Day package from Amanda. It was filled with beautiful items and a lovely letter which included Amanda’s Love for her family and excitement about her future.

What is most important about this package is that it was mailed the morning of Wednesday, May 8th -the day she disappeared. The package had a print at home label but it was dropped to the Haiku post office, and scanned at the receiving counter at 10:19 AM. This changes our timelines.

We’ve always believed her car arrived the forest between 8 AM and 1 PM. In light of this new evidence, her car likely arrived after 11 AM.

As for the people who thought they had seen her on the trails prior to that, we were contacted by a woman who looks a lot like Amanda and was hiking in the exact areas and times these people said they saw her.

Luckily this woman remembers exactly what she was wearing and photographed her self in the outfit so could show the people who thought they may have seen Amanda.

It appears she was the woman who pet the puppy and talked to the other hikers. Not Amanda.

We are now asking all residents and businesses along the route from the Hana highway to the Haiku post office, and the Haiku post office to the Makawao Forest, to secure their security footage if it captures cars on the road.

We would like to see if Amanda was alone and what she was wearing. The Haiku post office does have cameras but unfortunately it is a new system that is not yet in effect.

The mall next-door does have cameras and they are diligently searching footage of the parking lot which most people have to drive through to get out of the post office (by Veg Out).

Please if you have security cameras along this route, please save the entire day of Wednesday, May 8 so it may not get recorded over. Please contact us and let us know so we may review the footage. We are looking for what Amanda was wearing and if she was with anybody.

Additionally we are looking for footage later that day.

Please secure the entire day and let us know so we may review footage. Thanks to everybody who is helping us. Thank you to the woman who identified herself as the potential Amanda look-alike. We will continue our diligent search. Amanda is a survivor and we are going to find her.”
