After Monday night’s shocking ending where Brooks Forester decides he is just not feeling it for 27-year-old Desiree Hartsock and decides to leave, viewers were worried that they may not see a happy ending on this season of The Bachelorette.
But don’t worry Bachelor fans, both Chris Harrison and Desiree are hinting that there may just be a fairytale ending yet.
“It’s this late in the game, can you recover? Is it possible to see if there’s still something with Drew and Chris, or is Brooks even done? Is he so confused, is he gonna come back?”
In part 1 Brooks Forester confides in his family that he does not want to propose to Desiree. He breaks the news to Hartsock in Antigua.
Desiree is devastated.
Hartsock confided in arm-chair psychologist and situation specialist Chris Harrison that she could not love Drew Kenney and Chris Siegfried,
“as much as they love me and that’s not what they deserve.”
Let’s be honest. This girl is crushing hard on Brooks. It has always been Brooks since the very first one-on-one.
But on Tuesday night, Hartsock sent out a telling tweet, telling her followers,
“Hearts may break but spirits stay high.. Stay tuned next Monday for the finale! #happytears #thebachelorette”
Executive producer Mike Fleiss called Desiree’s season unusual in an interview with Entertainment Weekly’s podcast at the beginning of Season 9.
Mike said “all I can say is you will be shocked by how this ends.”
“It doesn’t make sense in some ways,” ….. “It comes out of left field in other ways. But it’s the weirdest ending we’ve ever had, that’s for sure. I don’t know that Desiree is happy with it, or the guys are happy with it, but it sure is interesting to watch.”
So obviously Brooks is going to return and we may get a happy ending yet!
When is The Bachelorette finale on? The finale part 2 airs on Monday August 5th ABC, 8 ET/PT
