A 17 minute video from a New York Police Department air and sea rescue helicopter recently surfaced showing a new aerial view on the 9/11 attacks.
The helicopter was dispatched to the scene to see whether any survivors could be rescued from the rooftops.
A chilling audio track reveals the gravity of the situation. One officer is heard yelling,
“The whole tower, it’s gone,” ….. “Holy crap, they knocked the whole fricking thing down.”
Another officer says, “How could it go down?”
The video was released by NIST under a Freedom of Information Act request.
The helicopter shows a slew of people fleeing the scene;
“We got out of there at the right time,”
“I know,” another replies.
The Twin Towers of Lower Manhattan were destroyed September 11 2001. Civilian airspace in the U.S. and Canada was shut down until September 13. New footage continues to surface of the attacks that happened over a decade ago.
