Krystal Nielson plays the bully card on social media

Twenty-nine-year-old fitness coach Krystal Nielson is upset about the criticism that she is receiving online after her rather vexing performance on this season of The Bachelor.

And now she is lashing out on social media and pulling the ‘bully’ card rather than just copping to her unpleasant behavior.

She just posted this sanctimonious diatribe on Instagram:

“As tough as it was at times filming the show, I’m so thankful for the experience because it’s allowed me to grow. I’m learning to take the good with the bad and becoming stronger as a result. I was humbled and thankful for the support that @oliviacaridi and some of my followers showed by taking a stand against bullying. I choose to stand up and say that negative words do not have power over me. I will not be a victim and I will not bully back. #notme”krystal-bully

She goes on to say,

“Reading the comments on my posts over the past few weeks has been eye opening to say the least. The negativity and cruel words about my character and my appearance is something that I’ve never dealt with, especially not on a public platform. I let it get to me and I let it affect my sleep, my relationships with others and my passion for doing the work that I love.”

“A close friend of mine gave me some good advice: to not delete the negative comments because it’s a part of my journey- thanks @heatherlysmith . The girl needs to get a clue and stop the Life-coaching drivel and just be real. The girls were throwing shade because you were being sanctimonious, hypocritical and irritating.

The Oprah catch phrases, The Secret  and the Marianne Williamson Course in Miracles are so 2007. It turns out Oprah is a huge hypocrite, the main star of The Secret is serving a life sentence for murder and Marianne Williamson is a raging alcoholic. #Turnthepage.

It may sound like I am being hard on Krystal, but I am tired of people using the ‘bully’ card as an excuse to not change their surly behavior. If anyone was a ‘bully’ on The Bachelor it was Krystal being aggressively passive aggressive with the other women. Even Arie had to admit that her behavior was pretty snippy and off-putting.

As far as people making fun of her appearance–well sadly that goes with the territory of starring on a reality show. I don’t have anything bad to say about her appearance. She is adorable. The problem is her personality.

It’s disappointing that in watching the show and seeing the comments from people, Krystal didn’t have a giant epiphany that she needs to take a good hard look at how she is treating people — instead she is taking the low road and playing the victim. Newsflash Krystal, you ARE the bully.
