Tonight’s one-on-one went to single dad Brad McKinzie. And tonight Brad gets the boot but let’s be honest didn’t we see that coming a mile away? Desiree is not good at faking like she likes a dude if she doesn’t. And it was obvious these two had zero chemistry on their Boardwalk date.
Last week Brad McKinzie told Desiree Hartsock about a domestic violence situation in his past. She gave him a rose anyway.
The two played games at the park where Brad won toys to bring home to his son Maddex. They had a romantic dinner at a lighthouse. But the conversation was serious lacking and how do I say this…..ummmmm he seems a tad bit effeminate — perhaps?
But on a plus side we did get to see the two eat on this first ever one-on-one food eating extravaganza. Desiree claims to be conflicted about Brad…I think Brad is conflicted about Brad. Needless-to-say Brad didn’t get a rose.
In fact there was a small situation tonight with regards to Brad and his son. Brad’s ex Brittnee Nelson, had a blow-up with her boyfriend while living in Colorado and she decided to move back home to Texas. Brittnee apparently dropped Maddex off at Brad’s mom’s house. This was all relayed to Brad during filming at some point, and Brad makes a phone call to Brittnee in front of the cameras to confront her on what happened.
Here’s what McKinizie said to Dez:
“It was a bad relationship between her and I. She had some drinking problems. There was one night where she was drinking and she stole my keys, got in my car, was trying to leave, and I was trying to stop her or whatever. The next thing I know, the cops, they were arresting me for domestic violence. There was a restraining order, because that comes automatically with a domestic violence charge. I fought it, and it was dismissed, thankfully.”
McKinzie said this to the radio station.
BM: Basically, what happened that night is how I explained it on the show. She was drunk, we had an argument, and she was trying to leave in my car. There was actually another friend of ours that was there. We weren’t going to let her drive. She was past the point of — not just a few drinks. She couldn’t talk. Incoherent. Stuff like that. Nobody should get on the road like that. Basically, our neighbors, their window is right where the car was. They heard us arguing and called the cops. And so when the cops got there, she was so mad at me, so she said that I had pushed her and all this other stuff. They decided to arrest me.
