Brooks Forester’s heartbreak over ex-girlfriend Erin Reese
Brooks Forester shocked everyone by dumping 27-year-old Desiree Hartsock in Antigua in part 1 of the finale of The Bachelorette. It was confounding to viewers that Brooks had not fallen for Dez the way Drew Kenney and Chris Siegfried had.
But now it’s starting to make a bit more sense.
The National Enquirer is reporting that Brooks Forester was devastated by his ex-girfriend 28-year-old model Erin Reese dumping him just prior to going on the show. Perhaps this tidbit provides some insite into why Brooks could not seem to fall for Dez despite all the best efforts of ABC and The Bachelor crew.
“I broke Brooks’ heart and he’s never forgiven me,” …. “I dated him for nearly two years, and about 18 months ago we called it quits.”
A source said that he was head over heels for Erin and that played a role in his feelings for Desiree on the show.
“Brooks loved Erin very much,” said a family insider. “They were talking seriously about getting married, but then he found out that Erin was cheating on him. Brooks broke up with her and never looked back.”
A source close to him claims:
“Brooks knew what he was signing up for with The Bachelorette. But at the same time, when he saw Desiree kissing other guys week after week, it was disgusting to him”.
