Wow! Today ex-Bachelorette Emily Maynard shocked everyone including her wedding guests when she married fiancé Tyler Johnson after a 5 month engagement in her hometown of Charlotte, N.C. at the Johnson family’s farm in front of 200 friends and family. The guests thought they were just attending an engagement party, but low an behold they were attending the actual ceremony!
Emily and Tyler sent the guests a viewfinder with slides that they had to click through.
One of the slides said, “You’re invited to Emily and Tyler’s engagement party!”
The location was kept top secret as guests were picked up at various locations and shuttled to the party.
Emily’s father walked her down the aisle followed by Emily’s daughter, Little Ricki, who was maid of honor.
She wore a strapless white ball gown with a floral, pale pink bodice and satin sash, and a pair of cowboy boots—how is that for down-playing this epic event.
I guess Emily isn’t that much of a diva after all.
Tyler proposed to Emily with five gorgeous diamond bands on Jan. 4.
We knew that faith was very important to the Bachelorette star. So it’s no surprise that she met her beau Tyler at church. The two are evangelical Christian and attend the Forest Hill Church in Charlotte, NC.
What is a surprise is that Emily met Tyler long before she met teen Dreamboat Jef Holm.
Emily rose to fame on Brad Womack’s season of The Bachelor. The two were engaged but broke up months later.
Congrats to the newlyweds!
