So we all knew that Eric Hill’s exit would be difficult and not “normal”. There was a lot of speculation about what Eric did that upset 27 year-old Andi Dorfman so much that she cancelled the cocktail party, but now we know what happened. It wasn’t as salacious as a secret girlfriend like I had speculated. It was pretty simple. Eric thought Andi was being fake and he confronted her on it.
The Twitterverse was brutal last night to The Bachelorette after Eric’s exit aired. So I am hesitant to even comment but I am really curious to know how people feel about what transpired and how ABC handled it.
Do you blame Andi? Do you blame Eric?
Loading ... Loading ... Loading ...I don’t necessarily blame Eric, because this was a tough situation, but I think ABC may have done a disservice to Andi by editing so much of this relationship out. I think in an effort to protect Eric they inadvertantly make Andi look really bad.
You could tell by how the meeting between the two of them began that there were other similar meetings between her and Eric that were edited out. Andi seemed really uneasy and worn out from the get-go.
One reason I think there is more to the story is that Reality Steve claims that the other guys were really angry at Eric for how he treated Andi in this episode and that there was tension with the guys with Eric even earlier.
So, I guess we will never know the whole story, but wow what a tough situation for ABC to navigate!!
