Who is Andi Dorfman’s ex-boyfriend John Busing? and did he cheat on her?

We have not heard much about Andi Dorfman’s pre-Bachelor dating life, but we are always curious about Bachelor leads and contestants previous relationships. Obviously we know Andi dated Juan Pablo Galavis, but who did she date prior to that and why didn’t things work out?

Surprisingly Andi Dorfman only had one previous boyfriend.

Just prior to going on the Bachelor Andi dated 30-year-old defender American football player John Busing, safety for the Sacramento Mountain Lions of the United Football League.

According to Life & Style John was actually her only real boyfriend and the two dated for 4 years and broke up just prior to The Bachelor.

The 6-foot-2, 221-pound athlete was signed by the Cincinnati Bengals as an undrafted free agent in 2006. He was a linebacker at Miami University. Busing has also played for the Houston Texans in 2009 (where he made $535,000 a year) and the New York Giants in 2010 (where he made $630,000 a year) before he was let go. Since then, he’s been playing for the Sacramento Mountain Lions for the UFL.

John Busing was born September 1, 1983 and also grew up in Alpharetta, Georgia.

He spoke to L&S, about his relationship with the Bachelorette. “We had a great relationship. I’ve got nothing but good things to say about her.”

But Andi seems to really bond with Josh over the issue of having “unfaithful” partners on their 1-on-1 claiming that she had been cheated on in the past. So she MUST have been referring to John, right? Since John was her ONLY boyfriend and is a pro athlete. “So bad to say, but I just chalked it up to the athlete lifestyle,” Andi claimed “I was just like ‘okay, he’s an athlete.’”

I thought Andi’s outrage at Juan Pablo was interesting particularly because she stressed what she had given up to be there. I took that to mean going on the show was the push she needed to end that relationship with John and JP may have had her doubting it.
