Bachelor in Paradise Episode 2: Chris Bukowski causes a situation

Why is it Bachelorette fan fave Chris Bukowski can not not create a situation everywhere he goes? He almost became the first contestant in Bachelorette history to receive a TRO (Temporary Restraining Order) on Andi Dorfman’s season of The Bachelorette after camping out for a week with Kraft services, trying to crash the show. He entered into a serious love trapezoid on The Bachelor Pad Season 2 with Jamie Otis, Blakely Shea and Sarah Newlon. (BTW if you have not seen Jamie Otis on her new show Married at First Sight drop EVERYTHING and go watch it now!)

So of course producers must have Chris on speed dial whenever they want to shake things up on The Bachelorette, Bachelor Pad, Bachelor in Paradise or any other freakish Bachelor Nation spin-off. So Chris Bukowski arrives this week with pal Zack Kalter (Desiree Hartsock’s season of The Bachelorette) and Clare gets back to back dates with both men!–a couple’s massage and a trip to Tulum Village. (BTW Tulum is an absolutely fascinating Medieval city to enjoy on ABCs dime).

So Elise Mosca was all over Dylan Petitt (which like I said makes sense because her previous boyfriend was “The Situation” from Jersey Shore and Dylan has kind of a “Situation-esque” vibe, but he tries to slow things down since he is recovering from his 4 week non-monogamous relationship with Andi Dorfman. Elise is not having it. After all the couples only have THREE weeks to fall in love! No pressure. So she turns the channel to Chris Bukowski who is always ready to cause a commotion to stay on camera. But little does Elise know Dylan is an Enneagram super six and they are ALL about loyalty. In fact the fastest way to turn them off is to be disloyal. So Dylan ditches Elise when he gets the date card.

As a side note, I can’t help but think all this ‘oscillating wildly’ has to do with the fact that contestants were told before going on the show that there would be a big twist. Producers implied there may be some money involved at the end which was pretty brilliant, because the real “twist” is that there isn’t one. The prize is finding love so if these contestants are merely hedging bets with multiple potential mates they are ultimately $crewing themselves over.

But let’s be honest…was Chris Bukowski ever looking for love on this show?
