So in case you don’t recall 30-year-old Ben Scott was the 6’2″, charming Bartender/single dad from Dallas, Texas on Desiree Hartsock of The Bachelorette who seriously broke guy code by rubbing the other contestants the wrong way.

When asked in a media conference call about how he was treated he said:
“Some people make judgments without truly knowing somebody. People will decide on their own.”
Well we get to ‘know’ Ben a little better on The Bachelor in Paradise and it doesn’t appear to get much better.

We will soon learn that Ben has a pretty serious girlfriend at home! Way to redeem yourself Ben!

So I can’ help but wonder did Ben Scott make this video before or after he met his girlfriend Lindsay Higgins? My bet is after because it feels inauthentic to me. He is going on the show for his own PR and that’s it. Why else would he go on knowing he was in a serious, all be it, new relationship with someone at home?
If he is going on the show for “redemption”…he better come up with a better plan because it does not look like Ben will be “redeemed”. It looks like his bad boy reputation will just be reinforced on Bachelor in Paradise.
