On Bachelor Canada season 2 episode 6 Tim Warmels and his ladies head to the beautiful rolling hills of Tuscany, Italy and one particular lady seemed to take a clear lead. Just when we thought April Brockman had sealed the deal, 28-year-old Beauty Queen from Edmonton, AB, Trisha Vergo finally gets a chance to shine.
In fact the episode begins with a one-on-one date with Trisha, and she seriously scores the ultimate one-on-one just in the nick of time because Tim was starting to worry that they may not have a romantic connection.
Tim takes her to dinner in the historic town and teases her that he has a surprise for her. He also seems particularly nervous about giving her the gift.
Tim places a purple box in front of her and says “you always make me feel special”…. “and now I want to make you feel special (on City Tv’s dime)”. Trisha, the Beauty Queen is obviously the perfect candidate for this gift. She opens the box and its diamonds from designer Michael Hill (love the plugs). Trisha is stunned and stoked.
She claimed in her blog:
“Italy is everything I could have dreamed and more. After my amazing sandbar date in the Bahamas I did not think it could get any We’re singing and laughing while we walk and then I hear the most romantic music, my last surprise, there was an accordion player in the town square. Dancing under the stars in Italy was the most romantic moment in my life. It brought a tear to my eye. The date card had said “Let’s make the night sparkle.” I think it meant the diamonds, but what sparkled most that night was my heart.”
“I’m floating on cloud 9 when Tim tells me he has to walk me to my car to go back to Casa Buitoni.”
Tim said this in his blog about his relief that they made a romantic connection:
“Trisha and I always enjoyed our time together, but I was actually starting to worry that we would never get to that romantic place. But this all changed during the course of the evening… maybe because I opened up to her more, sharing that this experience scares me too, or perhaps it was the diamonds? Kidding! I’m glad the present made her feel special. There was an accordion player in the town square, and it was a complete surprise for her… there wasn’t a dry eye in the place. I was so happy to make her smile that much and I have never felt closer to her.”
Next week we will get to go to Trisha’s hometown and meet her family. This date actually changed my mind about her. I think he has a real connection with Trisha and she may just score the final rose.
