Bravo’s ‘Work Out’ star Greg Plitt, 37 was killed by a Metrolink train Saturday near the Burbank Metrolink Station on Front Street while filming a video on the railroad tracks.
There had been some speculation that the event could have been a suicide but after Burbank police analyzed surveillance footage they now claim it was just an accident.
Metrolink spokesman Jeff Lustgarten spoke to TheWrap saying that Plitt was not authorized to be on the train tracks:
“While our hearts go out to his [Plitt’s] family, this was very, very preventable.”
“Had the proper channels been followed, this would not have happened.”
Plitt “was running on the tracks and did not respond to a horn blast,” claims officer Joshua Kendrick…… “We’re unable to determine if he fell because of the angle of the video.”
A friend of Plitt’s, told the LA Times, “He just made a mistake.”
In the meantime Plitt’s family is planning a memorial service for on Saturday at 2 p.m. at The Church of The Good Shepherd in Beverly Hills as well as a service in his hometown of Baltimore.
