Kristen Doute deserves an Emmy for her performance on Vanderpump Rules this season. I did not think she could pull off the Miami Girl situation, but she did!
Monday the 31-year-old SUR-ver arranged for Annemarie Kunkel to come to L.A. to confront Tom, at SUR while he was bartending! She apparently pulled this canny maneuver off without telling her fellow SUR-vers or boss Lisa Vanderpump who cited the event as one of the reasons she fired Kristen.
Kristen was shrewd enough to know that if any of her fellow cast-mates knew they would warn Tom. So Miami Girl shows up to LA to meet Kristen for lunch which quickly becomes just a cocktail.
By the way, Kristen said earlier “I had kind of known for a couple of months prior to her coming that there was a possibility. And when she actually did fly in, I found out the day before.”
On this episode of Last Call Kristen reveals more details about exactly what Miami Girl told her that convinced her she was legit.
“She told me so many things about my ex boyfriend…she knew too many grotesque details, not only about Tom but about my relationship with Tom, about my friendship with Jax, about Tom’s friendship with Jax.”
Kristen said the biggest thing Annemarie told her that validated her claim was that Jax carries around a fake Amex card which very few people knew.
Then Kristen coyly says “it wasn’t about his man-sitch’ (referring to Annemaries comment to Tom about his 4 1/2 inch penis, but I am guessing that nugget also solidified her claim). Ultimately Kristen says:
“She knew too much about my relationship that a fan wouldn’t know.”
It sounds like her conversation with Annemarie encouraged her to hold out hope that her and Tom could get back together. Annemarie confided in Kristen that Tom had told her how much he missed her and how his relationship with Ariana was less serious than everyone thought.
The intel aligned with what we were told at the time—that Tom still had really strong feelings for Kristen. So I am guessing Kristen’s MO was to try and get Tom to admit that he was still in love with her, but it did not seem to work out because Tom and Kristen never got back together and Tom and Ariana are still together today.
