‘Married at First Sight’ Season 2 left us on a serious cliff hanger last week. 30-year-old vodka brand sales representative Jaclyn Methuen, steps up to the altar to see future husband/Long Island real estate agent Ryan Ranellone, 28 and she does not look happy.
“The initial physical attraction really isn’t there right now” she claims…. “when I saw him face to face I felt a little disappointed. It just doesn’t feel like this is the man who is my husband. I don’t know if I can do this.”
The show ends with Jaclyn looking like she is definitely going to bail. But guess what? She didn’t!!!
“I signed up for this…to marry a stranger…and this is my stranger.”
She tells the cameras that “she is trying to put on a good face” and “I don’t look at him and see my husband at all..there’s something about his face that’s not what I pictured.”
And I love that her first question for Ryan is “How do I pronounce your name?” and then “what do you do for a living?”
To be fair, I do think producers did a butcher job on editing her comments and I bet she did not come off rude to her new husband on their wedding day.

In fact Jaclyn is not too happy with how she was edited.
On Twitter she said:
“I was NEVER rude to his mother! I love her and would never be disrespectful. Thank you editing @LIRealEstate01″
She posted a pic with her new husband saying: “Just the beginning of the friendship with my husband! Sorry I spilled your drink”
Then she writes his telling tweet:
“So grateful to all of the people who have been positive and understanding through this journey with me so far. I won’t let you down!”
Jaclyn claims that she does not want to leave New Jersey and Ryan claims that he lives on Long Island an hour from Manhattan. So we have our first situation.
Wow! I guess we could see another Jamie Otis/Doug Hehner situation. I guess they did not need a contingency plan after all!
