Real Housewives of Potomac reunion just aired on Bravo and shockingly star Katie Rost was not wearing her engagement ring from boyfriend/fiancee/’handler of money’ Andrew Martin. Host Andy Cohen asked the 36-year-old about the engagement ring situation and Katie talked about it in her Bravo blog.
“I was fresh from handing the engagement ring back to Andrew. Sitting on that stage without him somewhere in the wings giving me support was scary and looking down and not having my engagement ring of course made me very sad and made me emotional. I love Andrew and our relationship isn’t perfect. Sometimes you have to step back in a relationship. I don’t want to speed into marriage and have it not work out once again. He did give me the ring back once I got back from New York. He told me the ring represents his promise to always be there for me and the kids as he has in the past. I thought that was a lovely gesture.”
I have to say I am not entirely surprised to see Katie and Andrew having problems. I got the impression that Katie was not entirely over her ex husband college sweetheart Dr. James Orsini.
After all Rost left Orsini when she was 4 months pregnant with her 3rd child. And it sounded like she left simply because she was not getting the attention and romance she needed in her marriage. In fact she claimed that she was still in love with him when she left!
But sounds like Katie and her Jewish DC investment banker Andrew Martin are back together and are still engaged. I guess we will have to hope their is a season 2 of RHOP to see if the two make it to the altar.
