For years we’ve been watching cast members of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules tremble at the thought of throwing even the teensiest bit of shade at co-star/boss Lisa Vanderpump and watching them attack one another, but refusing to go after her.
It seems that despite the massive amounts of drama RHOBH and Vanderpump Rules deliver every season 55-year-old Lisa Vanderpump somehow manages to stay above the fray….or at least she manages to escape any culpability for the fray.
It’s been alleged that the two shows are scripted…or at least that there is a lot of shuffling going on behind the scenes to clear the way for storylines to play out.
Previews for the RHOBH Reunion show a very distraught Lisa Rinna with her phone bill in hand accusing LVP of calling her and encouraging her to make the munchausen allegations against co-star Yolanda Foster …saying Vanderpump said it was paramount to the “story-line”.
And tonight 44-year-old Erika Jayne even goes to bat for Rinna contending her story about getting manipulated by LVP has been consistent. She tells Yolanda that she “tends to believe Lisa Rinna” saying she thinks that LVP set up the the storyline.
Even costar Kyle Richards who has consistently backed Vanderpump this season claims in an ITM that LVP wanted the word munchausen to get out but wanted “someone else to say it”.
But this is not the first time that Lisa Vanderpump has been accused of manipulating situations in an effort to create a story-line for her shows.
Remember in 2014 on a trip to Puerto Rico Kyle Richards claimed Lisa slipped a magazine in to Brandi Glanville’s suitcase? The tabloid story claimed that Mauricio had had an affair.
Then Kyle and Brandi talked about how being friends with Lisa Vanderpump is “like playing chess with Bobby Fischer.”
In fact on the 2014 Reunion of that season Kyle reached a breaking point with Lisa saying,
“It’s been a whole f–––ing season of lies about my husband who doesn’t deserve it,” ….”It hurt me and tormented me and made it a storyline. I have small children who hear talk at school … Can you never say, ‘I’m sorry, and I apologize’? At least admit one thing you’ve done wrong.”
On her other Bravo show, Vanderpump Rules Stassi Schroeder also reaches a breaking point with Vanderpump. In fact Stassi was too scared of Lisa to even tell her she was leaving SUR and the show! She just up and moved to NYC.
The abrupt departure caused a huge rift between her and Lisa.
And then there is the nugget we received from an insider in 2014 about LVP moving pieces behind the scenes and scrambling to find a love interest for Jax after Stassi left.
Here is the email we received from a show insider.
‘Well..funny how quick things change. So Stassi drops this bombshell at the reunion that she is moving to New York and after the reunion taping realizes that she no longer wants to be on the show. So Lisa Vanderpump and Jax’s agent are scrambling, because they realize that Stassi was a major part of the story line.’
‘Lisa and Jax’s agent sit Jax down and stress to him that they need to find a replacement for Stassi and that he better have an interesting love story if there is going to be a season three.’
The source continues:
‘So he finds a girl that looks like Stassi and acts somewhat like her and bam..you have it..a replacement. Didn’t you think it was odd how fast he introduced her to the media and to his Sur family, well he knows he has to develop this storyline quickly. Jax can be a pretty private person when it comes to his women so now all of a sudden he is pressing her to the media. All a ploy to get a storyline.’
So the plot thickens. The evidence is stacking up against Vanderpump. Everyone seems to have a “story” about LVP blindsiding them in an effort to manipulate a “storyline”.
Perhaps Lisa Rinna was right when she said “we are all collateral damage in the game of Lisa Vanderpump.”
You decide.
