Who would have ever thought that Carly Waddell and Evan Bass would be the most successful couple to emerge from Bachelor in Paradise! Yes, recall Carly was so disgusted by Evan on their first date, she felt compelled to throw up?
“I threw up not just from the pepper…from the kiss” she bemoaned.
But this is a story of persistence and not taking no for an answer, because despite Carly’s continued disinterest in the 34-year-old erectile dysfunction expert, Evan never gave up—even faking some sort of cardiac arrest in an effort to gain some alone time with the 31-year-old singer—AND IT WORKED!!!!
The two are now more in love than ever and getting ready for the next step!
They recently spoke with E! News about future wedding plans, and kids.
“I think that relationship wise, we’re definitely more in love than we ever were before. I think we fall more for each other every day which is fun,” Waddell gushes. “It was always good, [but] it’s just that as we got to know each other better and better. We fell for each other even harder. We’ve never had a bad spell. It’s always been consistently good.”
Evan adds,
“All couples go through things, especially coming off of an intense period like Paradise or Bachelor or something, but we’ve worked through all of our stuff so well,” ….. “I feel like it’s been positive and fun. We’ve kept things fun. I think also just having [my sons] around keeps things fun.”
Evan has 3 sons with his ex wife.
He continued, “I hate how people think there’s some kind of fairytale in front of the cameras…We’re just living a normal life, you know? We talk step-by-step, and we work through. I think that our communication and our ability to have conversations…that’s been the key to working on our relationship and working towards marriage.”
Now as to a wedding,
“We are so close to setting a wedding date,” Carly revealed. “I think we’re going to have a wedding date in like two weeks. We’re very close to having that nailed down. It’s going to be this year.”
Of course the wedding will be packed with Bachelor Nation.
Wells Adams will be a groomsman. Jade Tolbert and Juelia Kinney will be bridesmaids. as far as guests, look for, Vinny Ventiera, Shawn Booth, Kaitlyn Bristowe, Luke Pell and Whitney Bischoff.
The couple now live together in Nashville. I suspect they are in talks with ABC for a televised summer wedding.
UPDATE 7/06/2017: The couple wed during an intimate ceremony officiated by the show’s host, producer and minister Chris Harrison in Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, in June. It will air when Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise premieres on Monday, Aug. 14 at 8 p.m., and continues on Tuesday, Aug. 15 at 8 p.m., both on ABC.
