Jed Wyatt’s sister Lily addresses cheating rumors after Hometown Dates

Last night Bachelorette contestant and Nashville music star Jed Wyatt took Bachelorette Hannah Brown home to meet his family. But in case you had not heard one very angry girlfriend of Jed’s has been speaking out claiming that Jed and her never broke up before he left for the show.

His 24-year-old GF Haley Stevens has been telling the media that the two slept together just before he left for LA and that he assured her he was not going on the show to start a relationship with anyone.

Needless-to-say the news is making fans furious and sending the franchise in to a tailspin.

Jed took the former Miss Alabama to a recording studio to show off his singing chops–something he has not been shy about doing all season. The couple wrote a song together and everything seemed to be going great.

BUT then…… they headed to his family’s home. And the family was not all that moved by their “Journey” and expressed concern citing that an engagement could hurt Jed’s budding music career.

Reading between the lines, I have to wonder if the family was swooping in on behalf of Jed’s girlfriend…the one he forgot to break up with prior to leaving for the show.

Or an even bigger conspiracy…that Jed asked them to with hold their approval to give him an exit strategy should he make it to the end. After all he did tell Haley the show would be a great opportunity for him to promote his music.

Jed’s mom Gina, warned Hannah that her son’s “path is different” when asked if he was ready to get down on one knee.

“I wouldn’t have felt that way before just because he’s a musician,” Gina told Hannah…. “You don’t get a diploma to be a musician. So I mean, Jed’s had to have jobs and try to create time and space to do his music. It’s his heart and his soul. He couldn’t go to work and do music, so his path is different. It’s very different.”

Then Jed’s sister Lily chimed in saying,

“I’m very protective over Jed, and making music makes him so happy,” she said. “And honestly, like, him potentially falling in love with you, I’m, like, not sure that it’s a good thing.”

Today sister Lily took to Instagram to blame ABC’s ninja editing skills.

“They made me look so mean,”….”I swear y’all our conversation went wayyyy better than this.”

Hannah joined in the damage control sharing pics on Instagram from each of her visits.

“Our families didn’t sign up for this,” she wrote … “We are the ones who said yes to the vulnerable opportunity to find love this way. But thank you to the people who loved us first, and continue to support us on this journey of love, heart break, and life lessons! To the Weber’s, Cameron’s, Parker’s, and Wyatt’s…thank you for opening your home, and supporting your son and me in opening our hearts to each other. I’m sure it’s really bizarre watching, but the moments in your home were real, taken seriously, and so very special to me.”

Again, I can’t help wondering if the family is delivering some cryptic messages in the hopes of scaring Hannah in to choosing one of the other two men. This certainly would not be the first time in Bachelorette history that a fan has gone on the show to promote a music career, or the first time a contestant went on the show while still in a relationship.
