On Sunday, August 2nd season 2 of Bachelor in Paradise will premiere at 8 p.m. on ABC and contestants have a big surprise waiting for them. They will be guests at a wedding—the wedding of season 1 couple Marcus Grodd and Lacy Faddoul.
“Chris Harrison tells us to expect a surprise,” says Ashley Iaconetti of Soules season. “I’m like, oh s–––, surprises around here usually bad.”
The cast is confused and concerned as they make their way to the beach assuming that it’s a rose ceremony.
“Instantly my mind’s – and I think everyone’s – we start thinking, ‘Oh my gosh. Immediate rose ceremony,’ ” says JJ Lane. “Like, crap.'”
The contestants assemble and see the ceremonial set-up and then they see Marcus Grodd all dressed up walk up to the front. Instantly they are relieved and excited.
Iaconetti says “You’ve heard so many good stories about them, and everybody thinks they’re the best together,”……. “I can’t wait to see this ceremony happen.”
