So tonight on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills it became very obvious that new Housewife Kathryn Edwards, 51 is insanely rich. Her and husband NFL star Donnie Edwards go to a private jeweler and he shows them jewelry valued at over a million dollars a piece and neither one of them blink an eye. So you know they are RICH.
I am really starting to resent these dumb websites that claim to know celebrity net worth when they are literally making a number up out of thin air. I say that because some net worth site is claiming Donnie is worth a mere $12 million and everyone is parroting that. And there is NO way he is worth that little. If they had a mere $12 million they would not be purchasing jewelry valued at 10% of their net worth.
So I don’t know the exact figure, it’s impossible to really know someone’s exact net worth, but in going back and looking at Donnie’s salary you can get an idea of his worth. Keep in mind the couple claims they have invested well so they likely have more than their salaries indicate.
Donnie was recruited by the KC Chiefs in 1996. At the end of his 4 years there he was he was making 2.9 million a year plus bonus’
In April 2002 he signed a five-year, $19-million deal with the Chargers.
Then from 2007-2009 he was back with the Chiefs. In 2007 his salary was $4,251,920. In 2008 it was $3,250,000 2008 and in 2009 he made an astounding $5,000,000.
The 3 year contract with the Chiefs was worth $13,500,000. So it looks like Edwards has made around $42,000,000 in salary over his career. Kathryn claims they invested their money very well which suggests the money has grown substantially. I suspect the couple is in the 100 million dollar range like the other new cast member Erika Jayne.
As far as Kathryn’s salary for Real Housewives—it’s probably around $500,000. Eileen is the highest paid at $750,000. Everyone else is around $500k. So I’m sure it’s a nice supplementary income for the retired model.
Another indicator of their wealth is their real estate. They own a very posh home in the insanely expensive community of Rancho Sante Fe just outside San Diego. The fact that these two can retire at such a young age and enjoy such a lavish lifestyle without blinking an eye means we are dealing with “real” money, not a paltry 12 mill.
