It’s customary for the Bachelor and his new fiancee to hit GMA the morning after the Bachelor finale airs. So on Tuesday morning 26-year-old Bachelor Ben Higgins and his chosen lady Lauren Bushnell, 25 hit ABC’s GMA looking very much in love.
The best part of the media tour is that the Bachelor can finally reveal what he was really thinking behind the scenes and the new couple can reveal their future plans.
On ATFR Lauren announced that she would be moving to Denver, Colorado in a few weeks.
GMA asks,
“Lauren, why did you decide to move to Denver?
Lauren: I moved to Los Angeles, just wanting something new. It was never anything permanent in my mind. The minute it came up and Ben owning a home there, just kind of wanting like a fresh start! And I was ready.”
Thank God! Since geography is usually the main issue for the new couples to emerge from the Bachelor franchise.
As far as a wedding. On ATFR, after turning down Chris Harrison’s amazing offer to marry the two on the spot both Ben and Lauren said that they wanted to get married “soon”.
Will you have a private wedding or tie the knot on ABC?
“Ben: That is a good question, one that we haven’t discussed fully yet. We want a wedding fairly quickly. But we also want to try and take things as normal as possible for now. We are open to anything I think.”
Yay!!! That means ABC!!!!
“Will you invite guests from “The Bachelor”?
Ben: Definitely. I know from our season, she has some great friends from the show and I have some great friends from the season with Kaitlyn. Some of the past contestants have been big role models in my life like Sean Lowe and Chris Soules. Chris and Des, we’d definitely love to invite them.”
Well if you want ABC to pay for it you will! You will invite a bevy of Bachelor Nation alumni and virtually no real friends. You know how it goes.
As far as starting a family….
“Are you looking forward to starting a family and how many children do you both want?
Ben: We laughed about this the other day. I think, what did we say, three kids?
Lauren: I really want three, yeah. So, you agreed right?
Ben: I did agree, just to be safe.
Lauren: I don’t know when soon is. But obviously we want to get married and also kind of live life. We really enjoy each other.”
I don’t think there has ever been a couple more likely to follow through and get married and start a family by years end. Both Ben and Lauren crave that certainty of marriage and family which bodes well for them.
Seriously, Juan Pablo vs. Ben Higgins? Juan Pablo would not even tell his final choice that he “loved” her!!!! In fact JP and Nikki Ferrel went straight from The Bachelor to VH1’s Couple’s Therapy!
So Ben and Lauren are like a “god” send to ABC. I think there is a good chance we will actually get to see a wedding here Bachelor Nation!
