Wow! 34-year-old Evan Bass is truly an inspiration to men everywhere because what started as a seemingly futile crush and a horrible kiss with Bachelor in Paradise contestant Carly Waddell, 31, last summer, has ended in an engagement, a wedding and now a baby. The couple just announced that they are expecting!
The couple told PEOPLE,
“We are so happy to be expanding our family as we welcome Baby Bass in 2018,”
Spoiler alert! It sounds like the shotgun wedding will air on Bachelor in Paradise. The couple wed during an intimate ceremony officiated by the show’s host and minister Chris Harrison in Vidanta Nuevo Vallarta resort near Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, this past June.
“We had a dream wedding on Saturday. It was truly the perfect day with friends and family in Mexico.”
“There was no better way to celebrate the start of our forever journey together,” the added. “The setting, in a garden overlooking the ocean, created a stunning visual that I don’t think anyone will forget. Evan’s children delivered heartfelt and hysterical speeches that had everyone laughing and crying simultaneously. The love from Bachelor Nation has been overwhelming and we are so grateful to all who helped make this day amazing.”
And as always in attendance were a number of fellow Bachelor Nation alums, including bridesmaid Jade Roper, and groomsman Wells Adams. Additionally we will see Tanner Tolbert, Whitney Bischoff and her new fiancé Ricky Angel, Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi, twin sisters Emily and Haley Ferguson, Ashley Iaconetti and Jared Haibon, and of course, the always fame-hungry, Kaitlyn Bristowe and Shawn Booth.
Evan already has 3 sons from his ex wife Marie Bass. The couple lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
Season 4 of Bachelor in Paradise will kick off its two-night premiere on Monday, Aug. 14 at 8 p.m., and will continue on Tuesday, Aug. 15 at 8 p.m., both on ABC.
