Was Mindy McCready murdered?

We are living in a world where the truth is stranger than fiction so when I hear of a celebrity’s sudden death I always have to question murder. I remember seeing Mindy McCready on Rehab with Dr. Drew a few years ago and hearing her regale stories of her incredibly abusive family and thinking…wow, better keep an eye on her she could end up “dead” in an “apparent suicide” because she is surrounded by some very dark people especially her own mother. That said, was Mindy McCready murdered?

A source close to the 37-year-old singer told E News that her body was found in Heber Springs, Ark.

A source also told E! News that Mindy’s father, Tim McCready had been staying with her until this morning when he returned to Florida and when her father left, “she was in good spirits and seemed to be fine,”

Neighbors heard gunshots at her house and called the police. “She shot herself and the dog,” their source says. This is eerily similar to the recent story of a 9/11 conspiracy theorist shooting himself, his kids and his dog. Why kill the dog?

“Things have been hectic. But I’m still here..,” she tweeted in January.

McCready’s boyfriend, David Wilson, died a month ago at the age of 34 with no cause of death or details surrounding his mysterious death.

According to FOX 17 and multiple other reports the country music singer has committed suicide.

Stacy McCloud, a reporter at FOX 17 in Nashville, tweeted:

“A close family friend of Mindy McCready has informed me that the country singer has committed suicide.”

A short time later she tweeted:

“The Mindy McCready suicide I told you about has now been confirmed from 4 different sources. A statement from the family is in the works.”

I wouldn’t be so quick to believe the suicide story. It’s always hard to believe that someone would kill themself and abandon their young children. I know Mindy had demons but I do not think she would abandon her kids.

Look at this interview from 20/20 and see if you see any clues.

(More on why she may have been murdered here.)

On how the police responded to her kidnapping her son “It was a swat team. They had riot gear. Assault rifles. Zander saw all of it.”

On if she was hiding in the closet with Zander when cops came “We were sitting on the couch. I think that [the closet version] just makes a better story.”

On how Zander saved her life “I couldn’t imagine loving something so much that instead of wanting to just lay down and die I wanted to stand up and fight… I lived for Zander, and I live for him still.”

On why she kidnapped Zander from Florida “I have tried to comply (air quotes). I have tried to follow the rules of the court. I have tried to be heard through the system. I did what the system told me to do in overabundance… for four years. After four years, do you know what I got, nothing. I didn’t even get unsupervised visitation.”

On if she worried about the risk of taking Zander “No. I’m his mother, I would risk anything, my life, my freedom. I would risk anything for my child.”

On if she knowingly broke the law “I do not, and will not ever think that me taking my child that I carried for nine months that I gave birth to in the hospital by myself would ever be breaking the law. What I did is to protect my child.”

On her mother, Zander’s guardian “That sweet grandmother is not sweet at all. He says that nana is so mean that her heart is black, and that she’s so mean she doesn’t know how to be nice anymore.”

Mindy’s grandmother issued an affidavit that her daughter (Mindy’s mom) abused Zander. They showed an affidavit from Mindy’s grandmother claiming that she witnessed harsh discipline from the grandmother to Zander involving him being “jerked by the arm” and “hit with a wooden spoon.” She wrote that “I feared Zander would be physically harmed permanently.”

Mindy on her son’s scars from his grandmother “There are scars on Zander’s back, there are scars on his bottom and his legs from the spoon.”

On her mom’s cult religion, “treasures of the snow.” “My mother believes that she is a prophet sent from God. They see dead people in their home all the time, spirits, ghosts.”

  1. Ok, I actually believe that she may have been murdered cause i was watching an episode of that dumb Autopsy the last hours of TV Show and there was something that threw me off, why would a 37 year old woman drag a tarp a from her truck bed, with a gun in her hand, cover herself with the Tarp, put the gun in her mouth and let the back of her head blow off?! That sounds very sus. Sorry i bump a 9 year old post btw.
