Andi Dorman’s father, 54-year-old Hy Lewis Dorfman, became a big “star” on last season of The Bachelor when he grilled Juan Pablo Galavis on Andi’s hometown date and refused to give his blessing if JP decided to propose!
Imagine that! not wanting to give your blessing to a guy your daughter met on a reality show who was currently hooking up with 2 OTHER ladies.
So Hy Dorfman became a hero of sorts. Social media was showering him with praise for not caving to the pressure and for making the right decision for his 26-year-old daughter.
So Hy makes a cameo on the premiere, first with his wife Patti to encourage Andi and then he surprises her at the mansion! See the video….
Hy tells her that it “looks like they are all here for the right reasons”. He also continues weigh in with his thoughts on Andi leading the show…
“Right before I left [he] gave me last minute advice,” she said. “He said, ‘Pick the right one.'”
