Patrick Jagodzinski talks about his experience on The Bachelorette

Patrick Jagodzinski was the ruggedly handsome 6′-4″ 29-year-old Advertising Executive from Costa Mesa California most famous for making it to episode 5 of The Bachelorette and barely uttering a word—well we assume he said some words but The Bachelorette editing team focused on other suitors.

So luckily we had the chance to talk to him and learn a little more about him and his experience on the show.

Why did you audition for The Bachelorette?

Friends of mine thought I would be perfect for the show. I had some trouble finding wholesome girls since moving to Orange County and thought, why not give the show a shot.

What was the interview process like?

The interview process was great. I got to meet the wonderful crew members and producers. It truly was like being welcomed into a family.

Did you meet the other guys before the first night?

The moment you step into the limo is truly the first time you meet anyone. You can’t help but bond immediately with these guys; especially when you are all equally nervous.

How has being on the show changed your life?

Being on the show I learned a lot about myself. With so many great guys in one house, you need to check your ego at the door. I was so lucky to be given an opportunity like this and now have been thankful for the other things in life that much more.

Did you feel you had a real connection with Andi Dorfman once you met her?

When I stepped out of the limo I referenced her ex-bf (Juan Pablo), which is a risk in itself. The fact that I could make her laugh was a great sign. If you can make a girl laugh, you must be doing something right.

Can you tell us about your personal fashion style?

I love form fitted everything. I like to be well kept and wear things that spark a conversation. Cap toe Oxfords, large faced watches, pocket squares, skinny ties and blazers.

Can you tell us about your hobbies and interests?

Soccer and sailing have been a part of my life since I can remember. I love Formula 1 as well. Formula 1 has quickly become one of my biggest obsessions. The culture, technology, drama and the speed. Hard not to love all of that!

Celebrity crush?

It’s hard to say, I’m not sure I have one. If I had to pick I would say a cross between Eva Mendez and Jessica Alba.

How was the “bromance situation”? Did you guys really get along or were there big blow-outs off camera that we did not see?

All of the guys bonded early on. It was like a fraternity really. We all cooked for each other and helped one another out while we got ready for dates/ceremonies. I will have friends for life.

Can you tell us about your ethnic heritage?

I am half Irish and Polish. I travelled to Ireland to get to know my heritage a little better in fact. My family is very proud of the fact that we have been in the US since 1748.

So as you can see Patrick Jagodzinski is much more than just a pretty, perfectly chiseled face and rock-hard abs. Hopefully this is not the last we will get to see of P Jags on the big screen! Let’s bring Patrick back ABC! Thanks Patrick!
