Kaitlyn Bristowe stole the show from the minute that she stepped out of the limo onto the freshly-hosed driveway of the Bachelor mansion and told Chris Soules he could “plow the fu#k out of her field anytime”.
This girl likes to be in front of a camera. She is funny, brash, flirtatious, charming, good-looking and really adept at finding herself at the center of a situation.
So she can be none other than an Enneagram 3, The Performer/Charmer. This one is easy. So as with all the numbers you have to take the good with the bad and their greatest strengths are also their greatest weaknesses.
According to The Enneagram Institute:
“Basic Fear: Of being worthless Basic Desire: To feel valuable and worthwhile Enneagram Three with a Two-Wing: “The Charmer” Enneagram Three with a Four-Wing: “The Professional””
At their best, “self-accepting, inner-directed, and authentic, everything they seem to be. Modest and charitable, self-deprecatory humor and a fullness of heart emerge. Gentle and benevolent.”
Threes are generally very good-looking and they know how to put themselves together like nobody’s business. They are incredibly entertaining and know how to perform. Kaitlyn can dance, she can rap, she can do a stand-up routine. She is very talented, energetic, and ambitious.
Threes can often be the “mean girl”—very sarcastic and a bit aggressive, but if they can be self-deprecating the mean-girl persona can actually be very endearing. And Kaitlyn was definitely a bit of the “mean girl” on Soules’ season although I think her castmates took it all in stride and enjoyed her brash commentary.
So, with that said, what about the flip-side?
When in stress mode,
“Fearing failure and humiliation, they can be exploitative and opportunistic, covetous of the success of others, and willing to do “whatever it takes” to preserve the illusion of their superiority. Devious and deceptive so that their mistakes and wrongdoings will not be exposed. Untrustworthy, maliciously betraying or sabotaging people to triumph over them.”
Well I think Kaitlyn craves the limelight so badly that she can be a bit manipulative. I said in Soules’ season that Kaitlyn was clearly angling for 3rd place so she could be The Bachelorette—no question.
Kaitlyn wanted to be The Bachelorette so she could be the star—sorry—I know that sounds kind of mean, but I really do believe it. I believe the reports that she was telling Trevor Partlo she was in love with him while filming The Bachelor and then later while filming The Bachelorette. I believe she also had very strong feelings for Nick Viall prior to filming The Bachelorette. So knowing this she probably should have allowed Britt Nilsson to lead the show, but Kaitlyn wanted to be the lead more than anything.
And look I can not complain. She has been all kinds of fun to watch. I’m not sure Britt would have brought so many situations. I’m just saying if we believe in “the process”, then Kaitlyn should have bowed out.
Either way 3’s are fun to watch. They are not afraid to be on camera and will put on a good show anytime they get center stage and Kaitlyn has certainly put on quite a show this season!

I have to disagree – Kaitlyn is definitely a 7. She had a lot of trouble controlling her impulses and always wanted to “explore every option to the fullest”. A Type 3 would not be okay with being portrayed how she was on both The Bachelor and The Bachelorette. Type 7s are much more impulsive, especially with their speech where they have no filter. Threes are much more put-together and impressive at first glance than she ever was.
Oh Hi Kelly!! Im so glad you know the enneagram. look you have a GREAT point. I would not dismiss that. 7s are escaping pain and I can for sure see that w/ her. Also 7s often have tattoos. Tattoos are a way of inflicting pain on themselves. So I do suspect she had some childhood trauma.
