So it is officially official that Ben Higgins is the 2016 Bachelor! Yes, despite ABC’s best efforts to make us think it may be someone else, they have revealed that it is in fact the 27-year-old Peter Brady look-alike from Denver, Colorado. Sigh…..
The Software Sales Rep won the hearts of fans on Kaitlyn Bristowe’s season of The Bachelorette with his boyish good looks, his Mid-West charm and his Christian hometown values.
Luckily The Bachelorette winner, Shawn Booth, was his roomy and BFF throughout his journey on The Bachelorette and Shawn claims: “He’d make the perfect Bachelor. He deserves nothing but the best.”
And he will definitely get the best as the lead. Congratulations Ben! You finally get the King sized bed.
Ben is originally from Warsaw, Indiana where he graduated from college and it looks like he is an only child. No word yet on whether or not Ben is a born-again-virgin like Sean Lowe but he is definitely not a regular “virgin” as we discovered on Kaitlyn’s season. In fact his non-virgin status was causing him extreme anxiety on Kaitlyn’s season and making him feel “unlovable”.
So Fantasy Suites should be amazing next year.
Season 20 of The Bachelor premieres in January.
