Bachelor star Catherine Giudici, 29 and Bachelor husband Sean Lowe, 32 will star on Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars on Friday, Dec. 4th on WE tv. Catherine was one of our favorite contestants on The Bachelor to investigate–from her intriguing ethnicity, to her religious conversion for Sean to her very difficult family history—Catherine is a fascinating reality star to watch.
Religion
Sean was the most overtly religious Bachelor in Bachelor history, but Catherine never mentioned faith or religion during her entire stint on the show and obviously a successful marriage is going to be contingent upon sharing religious beliefs (at least in this case).
Catherine was not deeply religious prior to falling in love with Bachelor Sean. She started attending a non-denominational church in Bellevue [Washington] and was baptized just before her televised wedding to Sean.
The two attend the Plymouth Park Baptist Church in Irving, Texas headed by Pastor Ken Branam.
Ethnicity
As we reported exclusively in 2013 the answer to the Catherine Giudici Ethnicity question is she is Filipino on mom’s side and Italian – Scottish – Swiss on dads side. In fact her mother is a trustee of the Filipino American National Historical Society.
Family
Her mother Cynthia Mejia Giudici is a second generation Fil-Am. Cynthia’s parents are originally from Pangasinan, Philippines.
She teaches special education at a local elementary school in Seattle, Washington.
Her dad is Carey Giudici and he is a well-known journalist. Her parents have been divorced since 2002.
In fact court documents reveal that Catherine’s childhood was filled with dysfunction with a violence, aggressive, and verbally abusive father, who “was committed to a psych ward after twice threatening to kill himself.”
