Tonight the Vanderpump Rules crew finally lands in Hawaii to celebrate Tom Sandoval and Jax Taylor’s July birthdays and Tom and Katie’s engagement. But it’s sort of bad timing since Ariana Madix is angry at her cast-mates, particularly best friend Scheana Shay, 30 because Scheana had been texting Ariana’s mom claiming that Ariana “has been different since she has been with him” referring to boyfriend Tom Sandoval.
Apparently Ariana’s mother had reached out to Scheana after having concerns about her daughter.
It was interesting hearing all the smack Scheana had to say about Ariana’s boyfriend Tom Sandoval since Tom appears so above the fray on the show.
She says Tom “always looks out for himself first” and “has an attitude that he is better than everything”.
She also claims Ariana is always being “negative” and her husband Shay even chimes in to agree! which means there is probably some truth to the allegations.
I do think the Tom-Ariana relationship is not all that it appears to be. Ariana’s defense of Tom during the AnneMarie Kunkel situation was a bit bizarre and codependent. Instead of expressing any anger at Tom she directed all of her rage at messenger Kristen Doute for coordinating the face to face confrontation.
I think it’s pretty obvious from the extensive ‘evidence’ that Tom did cheat on Ariana which means he is not the stellar boyfriend he pretends to be.
Anyhow, Ariana is angry that this conversation occurred between Scheana and her mom, and Scheana essentially said “get over it”, which I actually really admired. I’m no fan of Kristen Doute but Ariana and Tom are being a bit holier than thou and they both need to get over themselves and their relationship.
The real question is why did Ariana’s mom throw Scheana under the bus by disclosing their private text messages?
But not to worry, looks like the two BFFs have smoothed it all over in real time….at least according to Scheana!
Scheana posted this message on Instagram,
“New #PumpRules tonight! Please try to remember this was in July and a lot has changed and happened since then. So first before people jump to conclusions, I want to say that Ariana’s mom had reached out to me first. I responded to a concerned mother about my best friend. That’s all. I would never reach out first nor would I ever do anything to intentionally to hurt them.”
She goes on to explain that the messages were from December.
“Also, the txts mentioned tonight were exchanged in early December 2014 to give you some perspective. A time when Tom and I were not in a good place. A time when I also wasn’t in a good place. A lot happened that December that you guys will never see or know. But NEVER once did I say Tom was a bad friend or boyfriend. I would never try and sabotage their relationship. I love Ariana more than anything and her and I are in a good place. I’ve apologized numerous times if I overstepped and for any feelings that were hurt.”
Ok so next question…what happened in December 2014? Season 3 was airing at that time so did something on the show set the couple off?–perhaps Tom’s face to face with Kristen where he is bawling and appears to still have feelings for her? That’s my guess.
Anyhow, Tom Sandoval appears very hurt by Scheana’s allegations saying,
“Yeah! Of course. I mean, you’ll see. You’ll see more. (laughs) It doesn’t get better. My biggest thing with Scheana is that I’ve bent over backwards for her as a friend. I’ve gone above and beyond this season behind the scenes”.
I think Tom is referring to the fact that he had been trying to help Scheana’s husband Shay get over his drinking and drug addiction. But again the exchange happened in December of 2014 and the fight happened in July of 2015. It was interesting to see the other cast-mates agree with Scheana and makes me think there is more to Tom than we really get to see on the show.
