Sometimes it’s hard to believe that Vanderpump Rules is actually documenting “real” lives, and isn’t staged and scripted, but shockingly it is real.
Yesterday 36-year-old Jax Taylor was sentenced for second-degree theft in Honolulu, Hawaii for stealing a pair of expensive sunglasses while the gang was on a vacation over the summer.
Jason Michael Cauchi entered a store on Kalakaua Avenue in Waikiki in July and, “selected and concealed merchandise valued at more than $300, and left the establishment without paying.”
Yesterday he apologized in court as he was sentenced to nearly a year of probation.
“I had too many drinks, too many mai tais. I made a mistake, took full responsibility and I understand this is going to follow me the rest of my life due to the fact that I’m on television. So I just want to say I’m sorry and I apologize,” he said.
Cauchi entered in to a plea agreement in which he agreed to 364 days of probation in addition to $350 to the store, $105 to the crime victim compensation fund, and $1,150 in fees and fines.
This would be no big deal for most people, but the idea of Jax staying out of trouble for 364 days is nearly impossible. So this will be an interesting year for Mr. Jax.
