Bachelor alumni Erin Storm dies in plane crash

It’s another sad day for Bachelor nation as another Bachelor alumni has died.  41-year-old Erin Storm from Matt Grant’s season of The Bachelor died in a fiery plane crash Monday around noon in Hawthorne, California.

The Hawthorne Police Department posted news of the crash on their Facebook page Monday saying,

“On Monday, March 21, 2016, at about 12:00 PM, Hawthorne police officers were dispatched on a report of an airplane crash in the area of 120th Street & Crenshaw Blvd. Officers located a small, single-seat aircraft on fire in the 3300 block of 120th Street, directly north of Hawthorne Airport.”

“A nearby construction crew witnessed the crash and was able to remove the pilot (sole occupant) from the wreckage prior to the arrival of emergency services. The pilot of the aircraft was treated by LA County Fire personnel, and transported by ambulance to Harbor UCLA Medical Center in Carson. Unfortunately, the pilot did not survive.”

Erin starred on season 12 of the show in 2008. At the time she was on The Bachelor her occupation was listed as “hot-dog vendor”. She most recently worked as a pilot for Pacific Blue Air at Hawthorne Airport.

Erin got her pilot’s license after competing on The Bachelor.

Shayne Lamas also weighed in on her co-stars death.

She is sadly the 5th Bachelor contestant to die and second this year.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to Erin’s family and friends.
