Thirty-three-year-old Josh Murray has not been that successful at finding love on national television, but he has definitely been successful at cashing in on trying to find love on national television.
But after one season of The Bachelorette, one season of Bachelor in Paradise and one season of Famously Single and two failed engagements, he is headed over to MTV to star on The Challenge.
MTV’s long-running reality competition show will feature a slew of D-Listers, aka reality stars and athletes in an eight-week special event. The stars will face past champions and compete to win a share of the $150,000 prize for their respective charities. And I’m sure they will be paid a nice sum just for their appearance on the show.
Murray will compete to raise money for Extra Special People, a non-profit that serves individuals with disabilities and their families.
The show sounds an awful lot like a new ABC show set to air in February called Bachelor: Winter Games.
I suspect the ex-professional baseball player will have much better luck competing in this arena than in the love arena.
Josh stars alongside olympic gold medalist Shawn Johnson, Total Divas’ Ariane Andrew, Wild’ N Out‘s Justina Valentine, Olympic volleyball player Kim Glass, comedian Matt Rife, MMA athlete Michelle Waterson, rapper Riff Raff, hip-hop artist Romeo Miller and football star Terrell Owens.
The show is hosted by ex-Real Worlder and WWE star Mike “The Miz” Mizanin.
The Challenge: Champs vs. Stars premieres Nov. 21 at 10 p.m. ET on MTV
